- At 8:30 a.m. you will be picked up from your hotel and embark on a scenic journey starting with a drive along the N2, crossing Sir Lowry's Pass through the breathtaking Hottentots Holland Mountains. The route offers stunning views of the peninsula below. We'll traverse lush green farmlands and pass through Elgin, known as the "Apple Kingdom," where we'll make a brief stop at a farm stall for a coffee break and a chance to stretch our legs.
- Our next destination is the charming town of Hermanus. Here, we can enjoy a relaxed stroll along the water's edge or to hire e-bikes (optionally, subject to availability). If we're lucky (especially from June to December), we might catch a glimpse of playful whales in the bay. We'll take a leisurely exploration of the town on foot, perhaps pausing for a refreshing cocktail at Fick's Pool Restaurant or browsing through a local book store or art gallery to immerse ourselves in the village atmosphere and connect with its people.
- For lunch, we'll have the option to dine at Bientangs Cave Restaurant or Perlemoen, both located at the water's edge. Afterward, we'll drive past Voelklip and Grotto beaches before heading to the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Here, we'll visit esteemed wineries such as Bourchard and Finlayson, La Vierge, Creation, and Benguela Cove, where we'll have the opportunity to savor some exceptional wines.
- As the day approaches its end, we'll make a stop at Rotary Way for a memorable photo opportunity and bid farewell to the enchanting village. Then we will head back to your hotel.
- Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going out in the sun, take a light jacket with you in case the weather changes.
