- Our walking tour of Split will last about two hours, which we will spend with benefit and pleasure! First of all, we should visit the part of the local palace that is underground, after which we will go for a walk through the medieval streets inside the imposing palace. We will visit:
- Riva promenade (waterfront);
- Substructures of Diocletian's palace (cellars);
- Peristyle square;
- Vestibule;
- Golden gate of Diocletian's palace. Erected as one of the parts of Diocletian's Palace, the palace was the main gate, richly decorated and finished by the best craftsmen;
- Gregory of Nin statue. This landmark was built in 1919 in honour of the Bishop's stubborn struggle against the Papal Throne. Its author was Ivan Mestrovic, one of the most talented Croatian sculptors. He was world famous and worked not only in Croatia, but also in other countries at the beginning of the 20th century;
- People's square – Pjaca. The architectural ensemble of the square combines elements of Gothic, Venetian and Renaissance styles. In the north of the square there is the Town Hall, built in the 15th century. Historical and art exhibitions are often organized here. Locals say that every building in the city has its own unique story;
- Fruit square.
- When we finish the tour our driver will drive us back.
- A short break is possible whenever needed. I can recommend great places for a coffee, ice cream or beer.
- Included: four guide, transfer.
- Entrance fees are not included (plus 10€ per person).
